We hear from humans almost every day about how our food has made their pups healthier and happier (and exponentially more excited about mealtime.) In this series, we’ll share some of the stories that make us especially proud to fill dogs’ bowls with wholesome goodness.

Jenna Abdou got Joey, a seven pound Maltese, as a puppy in San Diego and he’s been her favorite ‘drama king’ ever since. As an older pup, she had trouble feeding him dry food as he had trouble chewing it and seemed to lose his appetite. She was also concerned when she found out that the second ingredient in the ‘organic’ recipe was "chicken meal." Here’s what she had to say about Joey’s response to Ollie:

"Ollie comes to us at a time when Joey was losing muscle mass and needed to regain strength due to a herniated disc. We are very concerned. He is doing way better now and we can visibly see increased energy, whereas he was previously tired and slow moving."

"I was so blown away when I got my first package—the care that went into every little thing—the packaging, delivery, personalization, and instructions. It made the shift so easy and I appreciated all of the tips to watch out for. My personal favorite was that the box came addressed to Joey!"

"Joey has been eating so much more since we started Ollie. He has even finished his entire serving a few times which is huge for us. Now the word ‘Ollie’ is becoming an exciting word and he runs around when he sees me walk in with the container. Then patiently waits while it’s been served. He seems to be very energized afterwards, spurring some more running and going to show off to our family members."

"I know cost-wise it can be a lot—at $23 it’s a lot for me, but if I didn’t have it, I don’t even know what I would do for my dog. I think the convenience of it and knowing that it’s tailored for my dog and has all the nutrients they need makes it worth it."
